- Inspect, maintain and build new buildings
- Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Collaborate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians on complex projects
- Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner
- Track the company truck and gas card
- Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University
- Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
- Valid driver’s license
- D.O.T certification, which can be sponsored by U-Haul
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals
- Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods indoors and outdoors
- Ability to traverse spaces and reposition to reach and use tools
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
- U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products in applicable states, including Texas
Demonstrates expertise in facility maintenance, including electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing, and landscaping. Proficient in using hand and power tools while adhering to safety protocols and completing tasks efficiently.
