Position Overview
Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role offers a clear path for professional growth, with the opportunity to advance within the accounting and finance function—ultimately serving as backup to the Controller (Assistant Controller).
ResponsibilitiesThe Staff Accountant will cross-train across the following functional areas to provide backup coverage. A rotation among these functions is anticipated:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Project Setup
- Payroll
- General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations, including approval of positive pay exceptions
This position is designed with advancement in mind. Over time, the Staff Accountant will progress within the accounting and finance area, eventually assuming backup responsibilities for the Controller as an Assistant Controller.
Qualifications- 3-6 years of accounting experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment using Deltek Costpoint
- A four-year Accounting degree is preferred; equivalent experience
- Familiarity with CAS/FAR and GAAP highly desirable
- CPA certification is not required
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and will be required to pass a background check for this position
At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00
