Configuration Management Analyst, Journeyman
Location:
Patuxent River, MD. This is a temporary position that may become full‑time but no guarantee.
Member of the Configuration Management/Data Management Team for PMA‑276. Supports configuration management of acquisition products, tracks changes, supports engineering change proposals, and follows government processes.
Duties and Responsibilities- Participate as member of CM/DM team supporting PMA‑276 programs and initiatives.
- Provide configuration management support for developmental and sustainment efforts, ensuring compliance with NAVAIR CM policies, processes, and lifecycle requirements.
- Support development, review, and coordination of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and other configuration change documentation throughout the change management process.
- Maintain configuration control and status accounting of program documentation, ensuring accurate tracking of product baselines, configuration changes, and associated records.
- Utilize enterprise CM tools (e.g., ECM and related systems) to enter, track, and manage change packages, technical documentation, and associated data.
- Coordinate with IPT Leads, engineers, logisticians, contractors, and other program stakeholders to ensure configuration changes are properly documented, reviewed, and implemented.
- Monitor and track time‑sensitive program documentation and ensure required inputs are submitted accurately and within established timelines.
- Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities by assisting with change package preparation, technical reviews, and documentation management.
- Prepare and present configuration status updates and analysis to program leadership and team members as required.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) to organize, manage, and communicate program data and documentation.
- At least ten (10) years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description, including at least five years of management, technical, or business case analysis; collecting, completing, organizing and interpreting data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
- Journeyman level: 3 to 10 years of combined experience performing duties described in the functional description.
At least one year of experience in the DoD configuration change management process. FMS configuration management experience is also desired.
Required Education- Journeyman – BA/BS degree.
- Allowable substitution:
Associate’s Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience; four (4) years additional work experience; or six (6) years additional work experience for Master’s Degree.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
