The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree, or equivalent years of experience, in Engineering or other technical fields such as Computer Science, Computer Hardware, Mathematics, or Physics.
This work requires a DOD Secret clearance. Candidates must meet the criteria to obtain one.
Job Title : Software Test Engineer I
Work Schedule : M-F, 8AM-5PM, Flexible
Job Classification : Exempt
Primary Location : Lexington Park, MD
Salary Range : $65,000 to $100,000 depending on experience and skillset
The Ideal Candidate possesses:- Strong computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience using Linux shell commands
- A desire to troubleshoot difficult problems
- Familiarity with both DoD and DCSA cybersecurity practices
- Familiarity with DoD sensor systems including EO/IR, Radar, SIGINT, and others
- Familiarity with working in DoD cloud platforms
- Strong organizational and communications skills
- Installing, Configuring, and Testing Systems and Software
- Configuring test bench systems to test software requirements
- Interacting with government representatives and other contractor staff
- Developing and documenting software test procedures
- Field testing in various locations, environments, vessels, and facilities
- Troubleshooting systems and software to perform root cause analysis
- Previous Minotaur experience strongly desired
- Knowledge of software development tools and techniques
- Familiarity with software configuration management and version control systems
- Software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of DoD mission systems, sensors, and networks
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or technical field
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot complex problems involving multiple systems
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required
- Must be able to lift and carry ~40 Lbs
- Must be able to maneuver in confined spaces
- Must be able to access various government locations, facilities, and vessels
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between office and government facilities
