Avionics Obsolescence Engineer Overview
You will manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process, working with OEMs to design and integrate missile system upgrades that improve warfighter performance. Your expertise in avionics and control systems will help evaluate, modify, and enhance system designs and algorithms.
ResponsibilitiesYou’ll work with existing teams to understand current challenges, redesign and develop upgrades, and integrate them to improve mission systems performance. You will augment designs and algorithms to better system performance and provide technical input to improve efficiency and integration ease.
You Have- Experience in avionics or obsolescence
- Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
- Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to improve warfighter capabilities
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
- Experience with modern Navy avionics systems
- Experience with the SETR acquisition process
- Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
- Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques
- Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs improve performance and integration ease
- Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree in an Engineering or Science field
Secret clearance is required. Applicants may be required to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
CompensationAnnual salary range: $61,900.00-$.
