SITEC Consulting is seeking an Engineering Technician to support technical, laboratory, testing, documentation, and engineering support activities for advanced DoD systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical professional with experience supporting engineers through testing, analysis, evaluation, documentation, equipment integration, and technical data management.

The selected candidate will assist engineering teams by performing laboratory and technical support functions, gathering and analyzing technical data, preparing engineering documentation, reviewing drawings and schematics, and supporting system testing and evaluation activities.

• Perform engineering laboratory and technical support functions involving the testing, analysis, and evaluation of materials, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Support engineers on a variety of technical tasks related to system development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Gather, compile, format, and maintain technical data, including laboratory results, material test results, engineering changes, technical findings, and test observations.
• Analyze technical data to determine applicability to design problems, system issues, equipment performance, or process improvements.
• Assist with preliminary analysis of technical data where guidelines, formulas, drawings, or established procedures are provided.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, flow charts, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable run sheets, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Prepare or support the development of layouts, detailed specifications, procedures, parts lists, estimates, technical reports, and supporting engineering documentation.
• Document design changes, test results, troubleshooting actions, configuration updates, and technical recommendations.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, and other technical deliverables as required.
• Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and documented procedures.
• Support testing, inspection, troubleshooting, installation, integration, repair, and modification of technical systems and equipment.
• Use personal computers and common office/software tools to perform analysis, compile data, prepare reports, update trackers, and develop technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of test activities, technical data, equipment status, configuration changes, and documentation updates.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, program staff, and customer representatives to ensure technical work is completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Support completion-based tasking in a DoD environment requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and reliable follow-through.

• Experience supporting engineering, laboratory, testing, technical documentation, or system integration activities.
• Ability to gather, maintain, format, compile, and analyze technical data.
• Experience reviewing or working from technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, specifications, procedures, or related engineering documentation.
• Ability to support engineers with testing, troubleshooting, evaluation, documentation, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience preparing or contributing to technical reports, procedures, layouts, parts lists, estimates, test documentation, or engineering records.
• Ability to perform basic technical analysis and calculations using established guidelines, formulas, or procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including the ability to use standard office tools to compile data, prepare documentation, and develop reports.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a technical team.
• Active DoD clearance required.

• Prior DoD, Navy, NAVAIR, NSA, or Intelligence Community support experience.
• Experience in an engineering laboratory, test environment, integration facility, shipboard environment, or fielded system support role.
• Experience with military electronics, weapons systems, communications systems, AV/VTC systems, low-voltage systems, cabling, soldering, fiber optics, or equipment integration.
• Experience supporting design reviews, test events, technical evaluations, configuration management, or engineering change documentation.
• Experience developing or updating flow charts, block diagrams, schematics, red-lined drawings, wiring diagrams, technical procedures, or test reports.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, technical trackers, data collection tools, or engineering documentation repositories.
