Synectic Solutions is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer
- Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Training Systems to support the Tactical Combat Training System Increment II (TCTS II) / ATLaS program within the Naval Aviation Training Systems and Ranges Program Office (PMA-205) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-205 provides full lifecycle acquisition of naval aviation platforms and general training systems, training range instrumentation systems, and distributed mission training centers.
The TCTS II is a next generation secure, Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) enabling, air combat training system that offers realistic threat scenarios and secure cross-service training. This position is hybrid with local telework and on-site at NAS Patuxent River as required.
Responsibilities:
- Performs programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization, identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems
- Employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems
- Assists with the LVC architecture
- Address emerging technical and architecture questions regarding the Live (aircraft)-Virtual (simulations)-Constructive (synthetic threat) LVC elements
- Sets up processes for configuration control of interfaces between the TCTSII ground system and weapons models/constructive entity generating software systems
- Sets up processes for configuration control of the interfaces between the TCTSII system and the aircraft.
- Plan for and implement the PMA-205 portions of the LVC Capabilities Requirements Document (CRD)
- Guides the engineering development of modern complex systems
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen with Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience
- ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
- At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
- Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.
