Overview
Configuration Management (CM) Analyst/Specialist to support complex software systems for government programs. Focus areas include configuration control, artifact libraries, product artifact management, release management, and property inventory control for Government Furnished Information (GFI) in AWS and hybrid environments, and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Responsibilities- Implement and maintain configuration management processes, standards, and controls for software systems.
- Manage product artifacts and libraries and GFI, ensuring proper versioning, storage, and documentation in SharePoint (SP) or similar systems.
- Support software release processes and deployment pipelines.
- Track and manage government property and inventory for GFE.
- Develop and maintain automation to support reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with system integrators, developers, and product teams to ensure configuration compliance, release readiness, and artifact traceability.
- Apply security, compliance, and government standards to configuration, deployment, and artifact workflows.
- Utilize Azure Dev Ops (ADO) for work item tracking, code repositories, and release management.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government representatives and SIs.
- Citizenship & Clearance:
Must be a US Citizen with an active/current secret clearance. - Education:
BS/BA. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. - Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in configuration management, CM, or Dev Ops-related roles. - Experience managing artifact libraries, product artifact management, and release processes. Experience or understanding of property inventory management for government-furnished equipment in accordance with federal regulations.
- Familiarity with government compliance standards and applying them in CM workflows. Experience with artifact repository management and SharePoint (SP) for document/artifact control. Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, and/or deployment automation.
- 5+ years of experience in CM, Dev Ops, or related roles.
- Experience working directly with System Integrators in complex government programs.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools.
- Advanced knowledge of ADO pipelines and artifact repository management.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Cloud Watch, ELK, Prometheus).
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, Git Hub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops).
Work schedule
: 40 hours per week.
Compensation
: $90,000-$130,000 per year. The posted salary range is a national average; actual offered rate depends on location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and internal parity.
