This position does not provide a telework option. Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Patuxent River, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:
The candidate will function as an Acquisition Analyst for an advanced research and development (R&D) program. The Acquisition Analyst will provide support in reviewing, assessing, and complying with Major Defense Acquisition Program policies, standards, and procedures established by DoW, DoN, and Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, and Acquisition. They will provide support for planning, developing, monitoring, and executing procurement and contractual actions and associated documentation.
The Acquisition Analyst will coordinate with team leads to support pre-acquisition and post-acquisition strategy planning and implementation. They will prepare procurement request packages and activities, this includes contracting documentation such as statements of work (SOW), CDRLs, acquisition plan, etc.
Other duties include:
- Provide support in planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparation, correspondence, and documentation preparation.
- Prepare and maintain data products and reports to be used as decision aids, reference material, or source data as required by management.
- Generate content and support the creation of briefing materials (.ppt slides, etc.).
- Support leadership and functional teams in responding to various drills, data calls, and requests for information.
- General support to program teams to include attending meetings and note taking, drafting documents, keeping calendars, printing briefs, creating binder, tracking action items, etc.
- Other duties relevant to assigned position as determined by the cognizant team lead.
Required
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience: Candidate must have at least four (4) years of relevant experience.
Desired
Experience:
- Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with Adobe Acrobat and share point style file sharing systems.
- Candidate should have demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills.
- Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment. Special Access Program experience is a plus.
Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions:
Experience cannot be substituted for education.
