Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) Engineering Support Specialist
Sabre Systems is hiring for a Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) Engineering Support Specialist to support one of our customers located in Southern Maryland at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The selected candidate will provide enterprise-level technical expertise, engineering oversight, and mission-focused guidance to strengthen cyber supply chain risk management capabilities across Navy and DoD programs.
This role supports the development, assessment, integration, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity and supply-chain assurance measures required to protect critical systems, mission data, software baselines, and vendor ecosystems. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Deliver senior-level engineering support across the C-SCRM capability lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design evaluation, architecture assessment, and technical risk review.
- Apply knowledge of cybersecurity engineering, digital sustainment environments, and mission assurance practices to identify vulnerabilities, supply-chain dependencies, and attack surfaces.
- Develop and validate technical criteria, testing approaches, and evaluation methods to ensure supply-chain risks are detected, mitigated, and continuously monitored.
- Support modeling, simulation, and digital engineering activities related to supply-chain threat scenarios, system dependencies, and lifecycle impacts.
Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management
Activities:
- Assess hardware, software, and vendor ecosystem risks using SBOM data, vulnerability intelligence, and program protection requirements.
- Analyze supplier-provided artifacts for completeness, authenticity, and conformance with cyber resilience expectations.
- Participate in Cyber Survivability Risk Assessments, tabletop exercises, and mission engineering assessments focused on supply-chain impacts.
- Support cross-functional collaboration between cybersecurity engineering, acquisition, logistics, and program management communities to drive enterprise-wide supply-chain transparency.
Oversight & Assurance:
- Provide oversight for C-SCRM technical integration across system, subsystem, and component levels.
- Review contractor and vendor deliverables for alignment with cybersecurity standards, digital engineering expectations, and mission assurance frameworks.
- Ensure supply-chain risk mitigations are incorporated into engineering documentation, baseline artifacts, and certification packages.
- Support the development and enforcement of technical policies, standards, and engineering practices related to cybersecurity and supply-chain assurance.
Program & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with program offices, mission engineering teams, and cybersecurity working groups to integrate C-SCRM requirements into ongoing efforts.
- Provide technical recommendations, briefings, and status updates to leadership, including risk posture assessments and mitigation options.
- Collaborate with cross-domain experts (Cyber, Digital Engineering, Mission Assurance, RDT&E) to ensure supply-chain considerations are addressed from design through sustainment.
Documentation, Policy, & Reporting:
- Produce high-quality engineering artifacts, including risk assessments, technical reports, supplier evaluations, and vulnerability analysis summaries.
- Support development of enterprise guidance, reference materials, and integration playbooks related to cyber supply-chain risk management.
- Track and report metrics related to supply-chain risk trends, mitigation efficacy, and system compliance status.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Experience supporting cybersecurity engineering, mission assurance, or cyber survivability activities within DoD or similar environments.
- Familiarity with software supply-chain risk concepts, SBOMs, vulnerability analysis, and cyber protection frameworks.
- Ability to interpret technical artifacts, engineering documentation, and digital system models.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across acquisition, engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and operations.
- Strong communication skills for delivering technical recommendations and stakeholder briefings.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired:
- Experience with digital engineering environments, MBSE tools, or system modeling approaches supporting risk analysis.
- Prior involvement in Cyber Survivability Risk Assessments or similar C-SCRM-related evaluations.
- Understanding of Navy, NAVAIR, or DoD technical authority processes.
- Relevant cybersecurity or engineering certifications.
