Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate) Position Location Lexington Park, MD

BA/BS or HS/GED and Equivalent Work Experience

The MIL Corporation seeks a Systems Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate) to support a Federal Government client in Patuxent River, MD. This is a Systems Administrator role that will manage Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux based computer systems in support of the MQ-25 Carrier-Based Aerial-Refueling System program.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

• Install, configure, administer,supportandmaintain
  
  Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
• Administer and support VMware server/cluster environment
• Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology on assigned systems
• Maintain and update operating system security patches
• Maintain the system configuration standard using DoD based Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and external vendors
• Document maintenance,repairs,and test activities; as well as include documentation updates as an integral part of every project
• Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existing systems
• Create andmaintainsystem documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Research and implement automated processes to improve operational efficiency
• Analyze andmonitorthecapacityand performance of systems and software applications and make recommendations for improvements as necessary
• Perform other duties and projects assigned

20% - 35% to other sites, as needed

• 7 years of experience in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux System Administration
• Active Security+ CE certificationor Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
• Knowledge of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG) experience
• Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
• Familiarity with the RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
• Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
• Familiarity with SCIF environment constraints, including electronic device restrictions and secure data handling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be flexible with work schedule to include occasional weekends
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionallyrequiredto lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.

• Knowledge of Navy systems,Networks, and IT infrastructure
• 7 years of senior level System Administrator experience
• Microsoft Certified:
  Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is aplus

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification;aMaster'sdegree will be considered in lieu of 3 years of professional experience
