Position: Embedded Software Engineer, Lead

As a lead embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team that develops systems, sites, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you’ll be responsible for writing, testing, and editing code while leading a team to achieve technical objectives. You’ll develop software that supports hardware functionality across a wide range of devices, configure solutions based on the platforms used, partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot operational issues, and collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to ensure secure software.

• Lead a team to develop embedded software.
• Write, test, and edit code that supports hardware functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues.
• Work with cybersecurity specialists to ensure secure software.

• 8+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methodology.
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting embedded software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, and optimizing code based on the platform being used.
• 8+ years of experience with embedded software languages and products.
• Experience with SE Linux.
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Experience working with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.
• Experience mentoring and supervising employees within a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.

• 8+ years of experience with embedded programming and scripting languages, including Java, GoLang, or C/C++.
• 8+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Master’s degree.
