Embedded Software Engineer
As a lead embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team that develops systems, sites, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you’ll be responsible for writing, testing, and editing code while leading a team to achieve technical objectives. You’ll develop software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, configure solutions based on the platform, partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot operational issues and collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to ensure secure software.

Qualifications- 8+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using Agile methodology
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting embedded software that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, optimizing code based on the platform
- 8+ years of experience with embedded software languages and products
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Experience working with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
- Experience mentoring and supervising employees within a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment
- Ability to work with SELinux
- Master's degree or 10+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree
- Secret clearance
- 8+ years of experience with embedded programming and scripting languages, including Java, GoLang, or C/C++
- 8+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Top Secret clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.
Salary ranges from $86,900 to $198,000 annually (USD). The projected compensation range reflects typical salary for this role and is one component of our total compensation package, which includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and more.
