We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Maintain and reconcile balance sheets to uphold financial integrity.

- Conduct month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Generate financial statements and reports to support business decision-making.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.

- Reconcile bank statements to verify accurate cash flow and account balances.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.

- Provide audit support by gathering and organizing necessary financial documentation.

- Collaborate with other departments to collect and analyze financial information.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all processes.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or private industry roles.

- Proficiency in general accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.

- Expertise in preparing financial statements and managing accounts payable and receivable.

- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Net Suite.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- CPA certification or candidacy preferred.
