Position Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented SEC Accountant to support external financial reporting and ensure compliance with SEC regulations. This role will play a key part in preparing filings, maintaining technical accounting documentation, and supporting the overall reporting process in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures
- Assist with drafting financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A sections
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting requirements
- Support the month‑end and quarter‑end close processes related to external reporting
- Research and document technical accounting issues and new accounting standards
- Coordinate with auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance)
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with FP&A, legal, and investor relations teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2‑5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional preferred) or SEC reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred
- Experience with reporting tools (Workiva, Hyperion, or similar) is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience working with publicly traded companies
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong technical accounting research skills
- High visibility role with exposure to executive leadership
