Senior Accountant (CPA) – Tax & Small Business Advisory Spencer Business Solutions Lexington, KY $90K- $130K

This is a direct‑hire position with Spencer Business Solutions—not a contract, temporary, or consulting assignment. Qualified candidates selected through our process will be considered for direct employment with Spencer Business Solutions.

We are seeking a Accountant (CPA) to join the Spencer Business Solutions team in Lexington, KY. This client‑facing role blends tax compliance, planning, and accounting support for small business clients. They help business owners navigate tax and financial complexity so they can operate with clarity and peace of mind. Ideally, the candidate will have the potential and desire to grow into a future leadership role within the team.

The team is built on being enthusiastic and fun, dependable and responsive, resourceful and proactive—with no entitlement and no drama. We are looking for someone who brings that same mindset to client service and team work.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, and an active CPA license required. Minimum of 5+ years of experience, including a minimum of 1 year of public accounting. Strong knowledge of tax regulations and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software required;
Quick Books and Sage preferred.
