Are you a detail-oriented accountant with a passion for the equine industry? We have an equine facility needing an experienced Accountant to manage their financial operations and support their growth in the equestrian world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts tailored to equine operations, such as tracking costs for feed, veterinary care, and facility maintenance.
- Collaborate with management on cost analysis for breeding programs, events, and sales.
- Implement financial practices to optimize profitability.
- Work with an outside CPA on tax compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in the equine industry.
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of equine business operations.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
