Forvis Mazars Executive Search has been exclusively retained by a dynamic and growing public company to identify an External Reporting Manager for this newly created position. The External Reporting Manager will play a key role in the preparation and delivery of the Company's external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and other applicable reporting requirements. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to establish and enhance reporting processes while partnering closely with executive leadership, accounting, finance, legal, investor relations, and external auditors.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of complex financial reporting matters.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, the External Reporting Manager will lead the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, support technical accounting research, and contribute to the Company's overall financial reporting strategy. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between accounting operations and external stakeholders, helping ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial disclosures while driving continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of periodic SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and related financial disclosures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), earnings support schedules, and other external reporting materials.
  • Research and document technical accounting issues, monitor new accounting pronouncements, and support implementation of evolving reporting requirements.
  • Partner with internal and external auditors, legal counsel, investor relations, and finance leadership to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate, document, and strengthen reporting processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
