The College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky seeks an Administrative Services Assistant to provide comprehensive human resources, payroll, and office support for the business office and the CON Research Nursing Department. The role manages the full employee life cycle for staff on several state Medicaid grants, including onboarding, payroll administration, and cost distribution management, while ensuring compliance with College, University, and regulatory policies.
The role functions as a time administrator for biweekly and monthly payroll for grant‑funded staff. The position supports the entire CON with hiring and time management of temporary, STEPS, and student positions. As the College of Nursing continues to grow, this position will serve as backup support for the HR Director, Payroll Specialist, and business office operations as needed.
- Maintain employee records and administer overall payroll, timekeeping, and benefit administration for staff on state Medicaid grant projects.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and off‑boarding of temporary, STEPS, and student positions.
- Serve as time administrator for biweekly and monthly payroll for grant‑funded staff.
- Support the business office with grant‑funded work order cost distribution and cost tracking.
- Act as backup support for the HR Director, Payroll Specialist, and business office operations as required.
Education: Associate’s Degree (AA) required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Shift: Monday—Friday with some additional hours after hours and on weekends during peak periods.
