Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the processing of departmental scholarships. The individual works closely with university departments/colleges ensuring awards are reported to our office so they can be processed in the student’s financial aid package. This position is responsible for resolving issues that may arise when a departmental scholarship is not posted to the student’s account. This position also assists with the creation of new aidids when needed in the processing of departmental scholarships.
This position also handles the processing of the Payment on Behalf (PBS) forms which are payments made to the student by a department or college. The PBS form is reviewed by the individual in this position to determine if the funds are to be counted as aid in the student’s financial aid package. The person in this position should be able to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks, be detail oriented and able to solve problems.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
Skills/ Knowledge / Abilities
Experience with MS Word and MS Excel. Attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and apply information learned.
