Job Overview
Position:
Contract Manager – full-time.
Location:
Clermont County Community and Economic Development Department, 101 East Main Street, 3rd Floor, Batavia, OH 45103. Core hours:
Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Class: FLSA Non-Exempt, Classified Position. Probationary period: 120 days.
- Support operations of grant programs (HOME, CDBG, etc.), including preparing public presentations and reports related to HUD or other grant programs.
- Prepare and submit contracts for professional services, construction, subrecipients to Board of County Commissioners; assist in construction bid packets, contractor agreements, or project change order agreements; conduct onsite visits of construction sites for monitoring.
- Submit Environmental Reviews to HUD.
- Prepare the budget and appropriation request; manage departmental appropriation – payroll, travel, training requests, purchase orders; process monthly invoices and pay‑ins; maintain appropriation balances and provide financial reports.
- Maintain record control system for all contracts, grants, and related data; provide updated reports on status, expiration, amendments, renewals to Administrator.
- Provide technical assistance and administrative guidance to Administrator on contract and grant development/compliance.
- Perform general administrative/clerical support: correspondence, presentations, spreadsheets, travel arrangements, meeting scheduling, data entry, public outreach, handling inquiries.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED (undergraduate coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field preferred).
- Or 5 years of experience in a business, government, or non‑profit organization performing administrative tasks of a legal, technical, or complex nature.
- Proficient typing speed of 50 wpm.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to capture and transform information into multiple formats.
- Ability to calculate decimals, fractions, and percentages.
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures and government structure and processes.
- Physical ability: seated, standing or walking as required; lift up to 25 lbs.; normal visual and hearing acuity.
Salary range: $25.17/hr ($52,353.60 annually) to $34.67/hr ($72,113.60 annually).
