Position Title
Graduate Research Assistant (Center for Health Engagement & Transformation – DU14360) – University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY.
Job SummaryQualified student applicants will work on two research projects: the Appal
TRUST Regulatory Science Team study and the Center for Rapid Surveillance of Tobacco (CRST). Responsibilities include recruiting and tracking participants, troubleshooting technical issues, conducting store audits, and contributing to analyses and manuscripts.
- Assist with recruitment and follow‑up protocols for Appal
TRUST by making phone calls and sending email/texts to potential participants and enrolling eligible participants. - Track Appal
TRUST study participants throughout their participation. - Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Assist with development of store audit materials and store lists for CRST.
- Provide feedback on survey items.
- Test field data collection store audit instruments (mobile).
- Conduct store audits in the local Fayette County area following the protocol.
- Additional tasks on both studies as assigned.
- Opportunities to develop conference abstracts, conduct analyses, and contribute to or lead manuscripts.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree. Must have access to own vehicle to conduct store audits in local Fayette County area. CITI training to be obtained after hire. Driver's license. Able to lift at least 25 lbs, perform repetitive motion, sit for long periods.
Skills and KnowledgeHighly reliable, detail oriented, conscientious, strong oral and written communication skills, works well independently and as part of a team.
