Position Overview

The Finance / Producing Associate plays a vital role in the daily operations of The Lexington Theatre Company, supporting both producing and financial functions. This position works closely with the Producing Director and Artistic Director to manage budgets, payroll, contracting, reporting, and production logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, financially savvy, and passionate about nonprofit and theatrical work.

Primary Responsibilities Finance & Administration
  • Assist in creating, tracking, and reconciling production and operating budgets.
  • Process payroll for artists, staff, and seasonal employees.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
  • Track and organize receipts, contracts, and financial documentation.
  • Assist with financial reporting for internal use, grants, and board materials.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support year-end reconciliation.
Producing & Operations Support
  • Support contracting and onboarding for artists, creative teams, and staff.
  • Assist with scheduling, travel coordination, housing logistics, and transportation arrangements.
  • Help coordinate production calendars, rehearsal schedules, and company logistics.
  • Serve as a liaison between production departments, administrative staff, and guest artists.
  • Provide on-site production and administrative support.
General & Office Support
  • Support daily administrative operations, including document management and communication.
  • Assist with special events, fundraising activities, and community engagement initiatives as needed.
  • Participate in company meetings and support organizational projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in arts administration, business, finance, theatre, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Financial literacy, including budgeting, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks Online and financial management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in theatre, live entertainment, or nonprofit administration preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $40,000-$50,000 per year
Benefits:
Health, Dental and Vision insurance available, with 50% of premiums covered by employer Paid time off (PTO)
