The Specialist Project – Industrial is responsible for supporting the coordination, execution, and closeout of assigned industrial electric power generation projects. This role supports project design completion, equipment ordering, logistics coordination, startup support, and ongoing operational assistance. The position works closely with customers, suppliers, Caterpillar systems, and internal departments to ensure project commitments, financial performance, and customer expectations are met while supporting future electric power growth initiatives.

• Degree, technical background, or equivalent experience in business, technical, or electric power-related fields
• High degree of mechanical aptitude and understanding of electric power generation components
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with written and spoken English
• Highly self‑directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with changing priorities
• Support accurate coordination and execution of industrial project activities
• Maintain effective communication with sales, service, parts, and operations teams
• Recommend to manager ideas to improve the department’s operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
• Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
• Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
• Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
• Perform other duties as necessary and assigned

• Coordinate ordering of engines, equipment, and components through approved Caterpillar and supplier systems
• Track equipment build, ship, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance with project commitments
• Manage inventory status, receiving, invoicing, and accurate system ownership records
• Coordinate logistics, storage, and transportation of sold and inventory equipment
• Review customer purchase orders and issue invoices in compliance with company policy and contract terms
• Act as liaison between customer sites, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve equipment damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Coordinate project startup activities including service work orders and budget alignment
• Monitor project financial performance during startup and project closeout, including project washout activities
• Support Caterpillar programs and tools including EOMP, PSQ, and CSQ systems
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, integrity, and accountability standards
• Ability to operate a PC including Windows, Excel, and Word
• Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties, with multiple overnight stays
• Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
• Maintain a high degree of discretion in handling confidential/sensitive information and exercise initiative in all assigned areas, high integrity and accountability standards
• Assist work team to meet the objectives of the department and the company
