Job Overview

As Product Manager you will own the product management operating system & portfolio, lead strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management, institutionalize voice of customer, drive product value and competitiveness, ensure development, testing & validation, commercial readiness, and cross‑functional execution across a global team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Product Management Operating System & portfolio, establishing & enforcing the Crushing Product Management Operating Standard across the global portfolio.
  • Lead the development & execution of short‑ and long‑term product roadmaps aligned to strategic pillars, including new product development, enhancements, & lifecycle management.
  • Institutionalize Voice of Customer processes, translating field, dealer & customer insights into validated roadmap actions.
  • Own product value, competitiveness & Total Cost of Ownership, using structured competitive analysis to inform differentiation, pricing & roadmap decisions.
  • Lead & govern NPD execution, ensuring safety as a foundational design requirement, validated through structured testing & reference site development.
  • Ensure full commercial readiness across direct & dealer channels, including tools, training & value messaging to enable effective product adoption & sales execution.
  • Drive cross‑functional execution & build high‑performance teams, aligning Product Management, Applications, Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Support & Finance.
  • Define & enforce the NPD governance framework, prioritization, stage‑gate discipline & cross‑functional alignment to deliver strategic & financial outcomes.
  • Provide product‑level inputs to support forecasting accuracy, lifecycle transitions, product availability & demand‑shaping factors.
  • Execute structured product validation plans, including field testing & reference site validation, and integrate results into product decisions, roadmap prioritization & commercial messaging.
  • Ensure products support aftermarket growth by incorporating serviceability, parts strategy & lifecycle considerations.
  • Define & manage capital & development investment, including Cap Ex for testing infrastructure & NPD funding, prioritizing safety, compliance & risk mitigation.
  • Lead quarterly Product Health Scorecard reviews across all product lines.
  • Ensure Voice of Customer pipeline execution & measurable response timelines.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in product management, engineering, commercial, or related roles within mining, construction, industrial or capital equipment environments.
  • Progressive ownership of a product line or portfolio, with accountability for performance, including revenue growth, margin improvement & lifecycle management from introduction through phase‑out.
  • Experience making and owning trade‑off decisions impacting product performance, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, cost & profitability.
  • Strong strategic thinking & business acumen, translating market insights, customer needs & financial objectives into actionable product strategies & measurable outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of product application in real operating environments, connecting design & performance to customer outcomes in the field.
  • Proven ability to lead & influence cross‑functional teams in a global environment, with a track record of collaboration across engineering, commercial & operational functions.
  • Experience driving disciplined execution through structured processes, governance & operating rhythms, with accountability for delivering results.
  • High emotional intelligence, effective communication, active listening, & the ability to build trust & align diverse stakeholders.
  • Operational effectiveness in complex, global or matrixed environments, navigating competing priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.
  • Background in mining, construction, industrial, capital equipment or similarly complex product environments where lifecycle performance & application fit are critical.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
