Primary Function

Responsible for overseeing a group of employees within a professional setting. Duties include relaying information between their team and upper management, guiding the team through daily work activities or projects, and monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.

Essential Functions
  • Managing the workflow of employees, creating team schedules, and delegating tasks.
  • Assessing employee performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Performing assessment, documentation, and organization of tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s supply chain.
  • Executing processes and providing recommendations for improving processes and standards.
  • Ensuring that business goals, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
  • Analyzing work area programs for deficiencies, developing and implementing process improvements to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Training and onboarding new hires to ensure they understand their roles.
  • Setting goals for workers and ensuring compliance with the company’s plans and vision.
  • Using knowledge of Material Management, Warehouse Processes, and Inventory Management Systems (IMS/ERP) or other tracking systems.
  • Analyzing and evaluating Enterprise Inventory Management Systems and providing reports or feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) and Quality Assurance requirements, goals, policies, and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will have direct reports.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Skill using Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate level skills with MS Project or other project scheduling software required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Regular interaction with external contacts such as customers, vendors, suppliers, and shipping companies.
  • Trustworthiness—handling confidential information routinely.
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, and copier.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem‑solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Ability to communicate issues to management and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
  • Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role.
  • Previous government contracting experience managing a multi‑million‑dollar budget.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
