Position: Senior Trade Analyst, Tariff Classification & Free Trade Agreements

At GE Appliances, a Haier company, we come together to make "good things, for life." As the fastest-growing appliance company in the U.S., we're powered by creators, thinkers and makers who believe that anything is possible and that there's always a better way. We believe in the power of our people and in giving them the freedom to explore, discover and build good things, together.

The GE Appliances philosophy, backed by three simple commitments defines the way we work, invent, create, do business, and serve our communities: we come together, we always look for a better way, and we create possibilities.

Interested in joining us on our journey? Serve as a key technical contributor for tariff classification and preferential trade program qualification across imported and exported home appliance products, components, and service parts. The role will work in close partnership with the company's current service providers who support these processes, supporting the continued development and maintenance of classification procedures, documentation standards, precedent files, and FTA (Free Trade Agreement) qualification processes while ensuring continuity and quality across the combined team.

Prepare binding ruling requests and classification analyses supporting prior disclosures. Support the development and continuous improvement of classification SOPs, review cadence, and NPI processes in partnership with Engineering, Sourcing, and Product Management. Review work performed by supporting service providers for accuracy and consistency and elevate complex issues as needed.

Manage supplier solicitation, certification collection, validity tracking, and annual recertification. Perform bill-of-material level origin analysis and maintain audit-ready qualification files. Issue certifications of origin to customers and respond to customer and CBP origin verifications. Evaluate qualification opportunities for duty savings and support duty engineering analysis.
  • Governance and Collaboration - approximately 10% Coordinate with supporting service providers to align processes, documentation standards, and data quality.
