Project Manager, Electrical Distribution – Western Pennsylvania

Job DescriptionOrbital seeks a Project Manager in the field of Electric Utilities to join a Project Management Team in a remote role based in Western Pennsylvania. The role entails performing various project management processes through all stages, from inception to closeout, primarily on Electrical Distribution projects throughout Western Pennsylvania. Candidates must be based in Western Pennsylvania. Intermittent travel will be required for on-site project meetings.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures at site and report incidents.
- Drive project tasks to completion, self‑motivating and taking responsibility as needed.
- Host or attend project meetings to maintain status and gather information.
- Manage schedule adherence, material orders, checklists, as‑built tracking and other tasks.
- Participate in on‑site field walk‑downs and contribute to project goals in a group setting.
- Provide input to improve processes and procedures for team efficiency.
- Occasionally climb ladders and lift or move up to 50 lb.
- Plan daily and strategic tasks, prioritize among multiple projects.
- Ask questions, seek training as required.
- Learn and use multiple software systems as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- 8–10 Years Project Management Experience.
- Experience in Electric Utilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform financial planning and forecasting.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Competent in scheduling software (P6).
- Organized, self‑motivated, detail‑oriented.
- Can work well in a group setting and manage simultaneous tasks.
- Willingness to travel as needed; travel and lodging costs reimbursable.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to frequent construction sites.
- Must pass post‑offer drug and alcohol testing in compliance with Federal regulations.
- Experience with PennDOT permitting.
$80,000 – $130,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
