Job Description & How to Apply Below

Trueline's client, a rapidly growing manufacturer serving major infrastructure and mission-critical construction projects, is seeking a General Manager to join their team in Northeast Ohio. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced construction or manufacturing operator to take ownership of day-to-day business operations while helping a fast-scaling organization build the systems, team, and production capacity needed for its next stage of growth.

What

You'll Do as the General Manager:
  • Own day-to-day operations across production, quality, finance, HR, and workforce planning.
  • Lead the manufacturing operation and ensure production keeps pace with aggressive customer demand and growth targets.
  • Build stronger processes, accountability, and operating structure as the organization continues to scale.
  • Partner closely with ownership and senior leadership while taking operational responsibilities off their plates.
  • Work across production, engineering, sales, and administrative functions to keep priorities aligned.
  • Oversee hiring and organizational development as the team expands.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities to improve capacity, quality, efficiency, and execution.
  • Help prepare the business for significant revenue growth and a larger, more sophisticated operating footprint.
  • Support the integration of outside manufacturing and production partnerships as the company expands its capabilities.
Must-Haves as the General Manager:
  • Senior operational leadership experience in construction, heavy civil, precast concrete, construction products, or project-driven manufacturing.
  • Experience leading a business, plant, division, or major operating function with responsibility well beyond a single department.
  • Strong understanding of how manufactured products are used in construction or infrastructure applications.
  • Experience overseeing production operations in a made-to-order or project-based environment rather than traditional retail or inventory-driven manufacturing.
  • Experience operating within a sizable business, ideally one approaching or exceeding $100M in annual revenue.
  • Ability to lead through rapid growth, changing priorities, and an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to manage people, processes, financial considerations, quality, and customer commitments.
  • Comfortable working closely with owners and executives in a hands-on, fast-moving organization.
Nice-to-Haves as the General Manager:
  • Experience with utility, electrical infrastructure, heavy civil, data center, industrial, government, military, healthcare, or other mission-critical construction markets.
  • Experience with engineered or custom concrete components.
  • Background scaling a manufacturing business through major increases in volume or revenue.
  • Experience working in a job shop, engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or purchase-order-driven production environment.
  • Exposure to both manufacturing operations and construction project execution.
Our Client Offers:
  • A highly visible leadership role with direct access to ownership and executive leadership.
  • The opportunity to take meaningful control of an operation experiencing exceptional growth.
  • Broad authority across production and business operations rather than ownership of one narrow function.
  • A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where strong leaders can make decisions and see the impact quickly.
  • Significant long-term growth potential as the company expands production capacity, partnerships, and its national customer base.
  • Relocation assistance for the right candidate, with flexibility based on individual circumstances.
  • Benefits including medical and dental coverage and voluntary life insurance.
  • The chance to join an organization supplying infrastructure for demanding commercial, industrial, mission-critical, and government-related projects.
