Job SummaryThe Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences is currently seeking a Research Protocol Manager Senior to work at the Shriner’s clinic location.
Position will coordinate multiple clinical trials in Ophthalmology research program. Position responsibilities include working with the IRB , granting agencies, physicians and patients.
Management of research data and reporting of adverse events. Direct contact with patients is required. Will prepare Informed Consents and maintain confidential records.
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesComprehensive understanding of related scientific terminology, grants management activities, and fiscal management. Ability to independently identify and problem-solve complex/non-routine problems. Program administration experience including strategic planning, infrastructure building, project management, and database creation/management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, strong oral/written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrate organizational leadership, personnel management, task prioritization, and presentation skills. Computer and web-based application proficiency to include designing forms and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Education/ExperienceMaster’s degree and at least 8 years research experience. Management experience highly preferred. Additionally, research certification ( SOCRA , ACRP , etc.) also preferred.
