About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled, entry-level Construction Inspector specializing in the Utility Construction Industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction activities on behalf of the Engineer in water and wastewater treatment, water distribution, wastewater collection, storm water systems, and natural gas distribution, ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Maintain accurate daily records and photographs of construction progress using software and electronic devices.
- Review Contractor’s applications for payment.
- Attend construction progress meetings with the Engineer, Owner, Contractor, and Funding Agencies.
- Have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites as needed.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Technical School or Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Proficient with computers and electronic devices.
- Experience with Word and Excel is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
