About the RoleGeospecialties is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to support onsite construction safety operations based out of Lexington, KY or LaFollette, TN. This position provides field-level support, conducts inspections, facilitates training, and works directly with field techs to ensure safety and compliance throughout the company’s job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily site visits and safety audits
- Monitor job sites for health and safety compliance, identifying potential hazards
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Promote and reinforce safe work practices aligned with the company’s safety program
- Partner with field techs and supervisors to support safe operations
- Lead or assist with incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Support safety orientations, toolbox talks, and team training sessions
- Mentor new team members on job sites
- Oversee site safety plans and maintain required documentation, reports, and records
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational, construction, or environmental health and safety (or related field)
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience conducting site safety audits and field inspections preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
- Willingness to travel regionally up to 100% of the time (company vehicle provided)
- Company phone may be provided depending on assignment needs
