Trace Creek is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Construction Project Superintendent to lead and oversee on-site field operations for commercial construction projects from groundbreaking through project completion. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive field experience, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily on-site construction activities and coordinate all field operations.
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager and ensure milestone deadlines are achieved.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues that may impact project schedule, quality, or budget.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and permitting requirements with local authorities and project stakeholders.
- Lead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and daily planning activities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, schedules, and progress updates.
- Ensure jobsite cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch list completion and turnover to the owner.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or lead field supervisor on commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated success managing commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting tools is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred but not required. Equivalent field experience and demonstrated success in commercial construction supervision will be given strong consideration.
