Estimator ​/ Take Off Specialist

Hayes Pipe Supply, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a Take-Off Specialist/Estimator/Inside Sales in our LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY location.

We are looking for a career-minded individual seeking a long-term career opportunity with a growth-oriented company. Candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and customer minded with excellent communications skills, computer skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Waterworks, plumbing, construction or similar industry experience and blueprint experience are required.

Ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints and perform take-offs particularly in a subdivision/commercial/private environment including storm, sanitary sewer & reclaim water. Experience with Plan Swift a plus.

This position will support the branch office by: analyze drawings (both hard copy and electronic), specifications & addenda and will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the bidding process per project.

1-2 years minimum experience in a similar industry.

Ability to read and understand blue prints (paper & electronic ideally) and perform product/quantity take-offs

Familiarity with the construction/waterworks/underground industries

Proficiency with on-line take-off software particularly Plan Swift a plus
