WKYT is looking for a weekend anchor/multimedia reporter. We report news on every platform available to our viewers. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to anchor, report, shoot video, edit video, and post web stories/pictures/video. Successful candidates will also have the ability to deliver compelling stories on the air and be a leader in the newsroom. You’ll use the latest technology, including lightweight next-generation video equipment and laptop editing.

Candidates should have experience as a reporter and anchor for a broadcast news station or news website.

• Anchor newscasts on-air and on OTT.
• Active involvement in news content decisions and the production of newscasts and digital content.
• Produce, write, shoot, and edit memorable stories for newscasts.
• Develop relationships with sources to find the very best people-driven stories.
• Must be able to demonstrate strong storytelling ability.
• Ability to write and post digital stories, which enhances on-air coverage.
• Shift includes working weekends.
• Flexibility and ability to be a strong utility player.

• Previous experience reporting and/or anchoring - must provide a reel of work.
• Ability to write, shoot, and edit on tight deadlines.
• The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to not only engage others on social media but also build a trusted brand that others want to follow.
• News background and experience are a requirement.
