Job Description:

Supporting Producer Director Job Summary Responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, production, and direction of live athletic broadcasts across digital and linear platforms. Oversees student staff development and training, assists with game-day broadcast operations, manages media archives, and collaborates with external partners to ensure successful broadcast execution and operational excellence.

• Serves as a secondary producer or director for digital broadcasts and assists with linear broadcasts.
• Collaborates with camera operators to ensure optimal camera framing and coverage for various athletic events.
• Coordinates with replay and graphics personnel during broadcast preparation and live event execution.
• Serves as an additional point of contact for ESPN personnel during designated productions.
• Collaborates with production leads to developing training schedules and educational opportunities for student staff.
• Organizes and conducts training sessions focused on production techniques, replay operations, graphics execution, and broadcast best practices.
• Assists students in evaluating broadcast performance and developing short- and long-term professional goals.
• Coordinates game-day operational needs, including staff scheduling, meal planning, event preparation, and broadcast logistics.
• Collaborates with production leads to determine camera placement, equipment needs, and crew assignments.
• Assists with the setup and teardown of broadcast operations for athletic events.
• Maintains, organizes, and archives broadcast recordings, media assets, and video content for future use and training purposes.
• Utilizes ESPN Melt procedures and SEC Network Media Bank systems to manage archived content.
• Assists with production scheduling and staffing assignments for athletic broadcasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Media Arts, Telecommunications, Sports Media, or a related field.

0–2 years of experience in sports broadcasting, live event production, video production, media operations, or a related field. Experience with Dream Catcher replay systems, Ross Xpression graphics systems, broadcast scheduling, and supporting ESPN or comparable live sports production environments, preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Valid Driver s License required.
