KHP Gift Shop Manager; Non-Merit

Position Overview

Kentucky Horse Park is seeking a qualified KHP Gift Shop Manager in the Visitor’s Center. The Park is a 1,224‑acre working horse farm, equine theme park, and internationally renowned equine competition facility, attracting over 1 million visitors each year.

• Responsible for the overall operation, sales, and administration of the Gift Shop
• Responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, organizing merchandise displays
• Maintain and manage inventory, including fixed, satellite, and temporary locations
• Develop and implement an online gift shop, including posting on website
• Responsible for training staff in operation of point‑of‑sale system and cash drawers
• Provide backup support to Visitor Center activities and functions
• Ensure customers receive quality service; resolve complaints or issues that arise
• Other duties as assigned

• Education: High School graduate.
• Experience, Training, or
  
  Skills:
  
  Two years of experience managing a retail business.
• Substitute Education for
  
  Experience:
  
  College or vocational education with a major in sales, marketing, or related field will substitute for the required experience on a year‑to‑year basis.
