  • Demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment.
  • Knowledge of pathology and laboratory medicine practices.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability in scholarly activity evidenced by peer review publications and investigative experience.
  • Required License/Registration/Certification:

  • M.D./D.O. or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Licensed in Kentucky.
  • Job Summary

    The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a Pathology Residency Program Director. The successful candidate would join an academic hospital-based practice and engage primarily in clinical service and serve as the residency program director. Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical or Anatomic Pathology is required with a minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience.

    Subspecialty training or comparable experience in an area of anatomic pathology is preferred. Interested applicants are also encouraged to participate in an active research program appropriate to title series and rank.

There is a strong institutional commitment to maintain and enhance research and clinical excellence within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
