Job Summary and Responsibilities

Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible G.I. Hospitalist physician who practices ERCP to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice G.I in a supportive, patient‑centered environment. Position Highlights
  • 7‑on 7‑off schedule
  • Join another G.I. Hospitalist and a team of 4 outpatient G.I. physicians
  • EUS support from advanced G.I. physician in the group
  • Two APPs support the Hospitalists
  • Inpatient census around 15‑20 with APPs supporting

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program in U.S. or Canada
  • Successful completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship Program in U.S. or Canada
  • Must perform ERCP (EUS preferred, but not required)

License/Certification:

  • Kentucky License/Eligible
  • DEA
  • Board certification or active participation in the examination process
Essential Duties
  • Understand, support, and implement the mission of the facility to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities
  • Ensure that patient care meets or exceeds the facility quality standards
  • Ensure that patient satisfaction meets or exceeds standards set by the facility
  • Educate patients on both clinical and managed care
  • Participate in clinic and network task forces as requested and appropriate
  • Function as an effective clinic team member
  • Meet productivity standards
  • Effectively use clinic financial and other performance information
