Job Overview:

Fairview is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing inpatient team at the newly opened Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

This state‑of‑the‑art, 144‑bed behavioral health hospital was purpose‑built to support patients with acute mental health needs in a safe, therapeutic, and recovery‑focused environment. As our program continues to expand, physicians have the opportunity to help shape scheduling, workflow, and clinical program development in collaboration with engaged hospital leadership.

• Base salary: $347,000
• Sign‑on bonus

• Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
• Structured, team‑based coverage model ensuring 24/7 continuity of care
• Shared call rotation supported by hospitalists and moonlighters
• Dedicated APP support to promote sustainable physician workloads
• Multidisciplinary treatment teams including nursing, therapy, and social work
• Participation in daily interdisciplinary rounds

Scheduling continues to evolve as the team grows, with a focus on flexibility and maintaining manageable inpatient volumes.

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Eligible for Minnesota medical licensure
• Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred
• Fellowship training in Addiction Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, or Hospice & Palliative Medicine welcomed

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on a 1.0 FTE schedule.

Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
