Position Summary:
University of Kentucky Health Care is seeking a full-time Sleep Medicine Physician to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. This non-tenure track faculty position is open-rank, with academic appointment determined by experience and qualifications. The position focuses on outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient consultation, and interpretation of sleep studies.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient sleep medicine services.
- Interpret and manage sleep studies, including polysomnography and home sleep apnea testing.
- Participate in clinical teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Contribute to department didactics and academic programming.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Overseeing Advance Practice Providers.
Required:
- MD or DO or equivalent degree.
- Completion of ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
- Clinical experience in Sleep Medicine.
- Board Certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Kentucky Medical License (required within 30 days of employment).
- Board certified in Internal Medicine.
- Board eligible or certified in Sleep Medicine.
Preferred:
- Experience in an academic medical center or teaching hospital.
- Evidence of academic research or experience as program director.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
