Job SummaryThe University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC), Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for the position of Chief, Division of Pediatric Cardiology. This academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level requires candidates to hold or be eligible for a Kentucky physician license, possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree, and be board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in healthcare leadership and program development, serving as the Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology.
This role includes co‑leadership of the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program and a permanent position on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership.
The faculty member will also collaborate on research activities for clinical projects and care reports, and participate in professional development activities such as regional, state, and national meetings.
UK Children’s Hospital is Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. It houses more than 30 advanced sub‑specialty programs, including pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery.
Our collaboration with the Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute means we have joined forces to provide advanced pediatric heart care close to home for patients in Kentucky.
