Required Related ExperienceEvidence of appropriate research training and/or equivalent experience in Neurosurgery or related disciplines. This training/experience should be of an adequate type and duration to prepare the individual for development of an independent research program.
Required License/Registration/CertificationLicense to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky. Must obtain Kentucky medical licensure before appointment.

The Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting for a Functional Fellow to support the Department. The faculty member in this position will report to the Director of the fellowship and the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery.
The primary responsibilities for this position will be:
- Participate in clinical teaching activities and provide direct or consultative neurological care for patients (adults and/or children) with neurosurgical illness.
- Attend the Neurosurgical inpatient unit and/or consultative services and/or provide coverage for other faculty.
- Acquire and improve skills in research and teaching pertinent to future leadership roles in Academic Medicine.
