Job Summary

Extension Assistant for Community Arts, Boone County.

Location:

Burlington, KY. As an Extension Assistant for Community Arts, you will be responsible for leading community arts workshops, after school clubs, and visual, performing, and/or literary arts for youth and adults. There will be a high level of interaction with the public. The Extension Assistant will be expected to be knowledgeable of the philosophy, goals and objectives, policies, and procedures of the Cooperative Extension Service.

General duties include:

  • program support
  • teaching
  • public accountability and public relations
  • recruitment and marketing
  • record keeping
  • conducting yourself professionally

Under the supervision of an Extension Agent, the Extension Assistant will assist in:

  • Quick Books
  • maintaining budget files
  • leading community arts workshops
  • After-school clubs, and visual, performing, and/or literary arts for youth and adults
  • recruiting members and volunteer leaders
  • providing support and guidance to existing clubs and workshops
  • recruiting and working with volunteers in conducting events and activities
  • serving all clientele

State law requires a national and state criminal background check and a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records as a condition of employment or involvement in this program.

Salary Range: $15.30 – $20.00
