The Department of Human Services at the University of the Cumberlands invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to support the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. We seek a dynamic and committed educator who will contribute to a mission-driven program focused on preparing students for competent, ethical, and service-oriented professional practice in diverse settings.

* Primary Responsibilities:

*** Teach undergraduate Social Work courses.
* Collaborate with colleagues the Department and throughout the university.
* Align course materials using departmental syllabus templates, required text(s), and other resources.
* Provide regular and timely feedback on student work.
* Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours and e-mail.
* Maintain clear, consistent records in Blackboard Ultra and the university’s online record keeping platform
* Participate in department-wide assessments.
* Respond to student evaluations.
* Follow university policies and procedures.

* Required Qualifications:

*** Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
* At least two years of post-MSW professional social work experience.
* Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
* Commitment to social work values.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Earned Doctorate in Social Work (DSW or PhD) or closely related field (ABD considered).
* Experience teaching in online and hybrid learning environments.
