To assist in actualizing our mission, we seek candidates for the position of Program Coordinator II. The position's job responsibilities are as follows:

Adoption Support for Kentucky (ASK) Program Administration & Development:

* Lead the development, implementation, evaluation, and expansion of new and ongoing ASK program initiatives in alignment with contract objectives and best practices for pre- and post-adoption support.

* Identify and advance opportunities for program innovation, growth, and enhancement, including the integration of technology, virtual service delivery, and new training modalities.

* Develop, write, review, and continuously refine ASK training curricula and support materials in collaboration with instructional design staff, CoSW colleagues, students, and independent contractors.

* Research and maintain current knowledge of adoption-related issues, evidence-informed practices, and emerging trends to inform program design and continuous quality improvement.

* Facilitate ASK meetings as needed to ensure effective service delivery and alignment across program components.

* Collaborate regularly with DCBS and other partners to share program outcomes, address system needs, and strengthen partnerships.

* Design, generate, and submit program reports in accordance with sponsor reporting and monitoring requirements.

* Work closely with the Business Office to oversee the ASK budget in compliance with University and grant sponsor requirements.

Recruitment, Training, and Supervision of Adoptive Parent Liaisons:

* Collaborate with DCBS staff and other partners to identify, recruit, and engage qualified individuals to serve as Adoptive Parent Liaisons (APLs).

* Provide supervision to APLs, including onboarding, ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and support for role clarity and accountability.

* Design and deliver professional development and training opportunities to enhance APL knowledge and skills related to adoption support and service delivery.

* Design and implement training curricula using a range of delivery methods, including virtual, hybrid, asynchronous, and in-person formats, adapting content and delivery strategies as program and technology needs evolve.

* Develop and coordinate statewide recruitment and engagement opportunities for adoptive families and program participants.

Adoption Support for Kentucky (ASK) Program Promotion:

* Develop, implement, and evaluate statewide strategies to promote ASK services.

* Develop, review, and update program materials in collaboration with the College of Social Work Marketing and Communications team to support effective outreach and promotion.

* Provide content and messaging for social media platforms and other digital communication tools in alignment with University and departmental guidelines.

* Promote ASK services to DCBS staff and other relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

* Serve as a program representative at statewide and community events related to child welfare and adoption.

* Participate in child welfare, foster, and adoptive parent committees and work groups to support system collaboration and visibility.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

Driver's License preferred. Regular statewide travel is required.

Lived experience within the adoption and/or child welfare system (e.g., adoptive parent, adoptee, kinship caregiver, foster parent, etc.) is strongly preferred. Applicants with lived experience are encouraged to describe how their personal experience informs their understanding of adoption-related services and supports.
