The Children & Youth Minister oversees faith formation ministries for children and youth (birth through 12th grade), with primary leadership for Sunday morning children’s programming and shared leadership in youth ministry. This role coordinates Sunday School, children’s worship elements, nursery oversight, and Kids’ Worship, while also supporting youth discipleship through Sunday School, Sunday evening Fusion programming, special events, and service projects in partnership with neighboring United Methodist churches.
The Children & Youth Minister recruits, trains, and supports volunteers; ensures appropriate curriculum, supplies, and safe, welcoming environments; and collaborates closely with the Lead Pastor and the Children/Youth Leadership Team to plan and serve during special events such as VBS, seasonal celebrations, Fusion events, and service opportunities. Through consistent communication with families, regular presence in the lives of children and youth both on and off site, and visible participation in the broader worship life of the church, this position nurtures faith formation, connection, and belonging for children, youth, and their families.
