The Academic Advisor II will work with students through direct one-on-one advising, including but not limited to providing information on course selection and registration, interpreting and explaining university and college policies and degree requirements, assisting students to identify skill interest and career options, and advising students on academic-related issues specific to that individual student. The Academic Advisor II will regularly monitor student progress to degree, considering current coursework, as well as any previously earned credit to assist the student with maintaining timely degree completion.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Academic Advisor II will assist with multiple orientations/advising conferences throughout the academic year.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
