About the RoleThe Cosmetology Teacher in Nicholasville plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of beauty professionals by delivering comprehensive education in cosmetology theory and practical skills. - Valid state cosmetology instructor license or certification as required by the state of Kentucky.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse student populations.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans covering cosmetology theory, practical techniques, safety protocols, and state regulations.
- Instruct students in various cosmetology disciplines including hair cutting, coloring, styling, skincare, and nail care.
- Evaluate student performance through practical exams, written tests, and ongoing assessments to ensure mastery of skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and licensing exam preparation.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and professional growth.
- Stay updated on the latest cosmetology trends, tools, and technologies to incorporate into teaching materials.
- Collaborate with school administration to align curriculum with accreditation standards and industry requirements.
