Job SummaryProvide guidance in the development and implementation of a strong instructional program designed to move all students from Novice/Apprentice levels to Proficient/Distinguished levels.
Essential Job Functions- Assist with curriculum alignment and mapping.
- Work with teachers, in all subject areas, on skills needed to succeed on assessments (e.g., Constructed Response).
- Assist staff with use of core content and the Common Core Standards.
- Provide professional development to teachers during team planning and after school.
- Engage staff in intensive data analysis and results planning, developing strategies to move students from Novice/Apprentice to Proficient/Distinguished levels.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate educational initiatives and resources.
- Model a variety of instructional strategies designed to be rigorous and to mirror assessment.
- Coach and model research‑based instructional strategies.
- Ensure district timelines are met.
- Develop tools for monitoring the effectiveness of instructional programs; organize and present data to the Fayette County Board of Education.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn at the novice level of proficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional teaching experience.
- Master’s Degree in Education.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a successful leader in instruction, curriculum, and assessment (e.g., Department Chair, District Committee work, KTIP resource teacher, SBDM member).
- Basic technological/computer skills.
Licenses or
Certifications:
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate.
- Supervisor of Instruction or Consultant Certificate, or eligibility to obtain a Consultant Certificate.
- Work while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
- Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
$53,263 to $94,361 Per Year.
